Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Tbilisi. Together with your GMGA-certified mountain guide and private driver, we head north along the Georgian Military Highway.
Our first stop is the picturesque Ananuri Fortress Complex, overlooking the turquoise Jinvali Reservoir. This medieval ensemble of churches, towers, and defensive walls offers a magical introduction to Georgia’s mountain history.
Continuing toward the high Caucasus, we reach Gudauri, Georgia’s most famous winter resort. After a scenic stop at the Friendship Panorama viewpoint, we begin our first snowshoeing hike.
Depending on weather and snow conditions, we choose the best route of the day:
- Chirdili Ridge — panoramic views over Gudauri and surrounding peaks
- Alternative: Lomisa Mountain — a more challenging option (approx. 10 km, 600 m elevation gain)
Your guide sets a safe and comfortable pace, managing terrain, weather, and group energy levels.
After the hike, we drive to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and settle into a cozy guesthouse for dinner and overnight.Accommodation: Guesthouse in Kazbegi
Meals: Dinner included
